Natural science is a discipline that attempts to discover principles which govern phenomena that we see, hear, and feel, and to establish in systematic ways the scientific laws that are followed by nature. Hence, natural science provides the fundamental basis for technological developments for the future. The school of natural science of Chungbuk National University is trying to play the central role in the developments of future technologies while keeping the core values of basic science from the technological challenges in the era of the fourth industrial revolution.

The College of Natural Sciences has been the alma mater of many researchers of the country for more than 40 years since it was founded in 1978. The school offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the departments of mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, astronomy & space science, and earth & environmental science. The graduate programs and research laboratories, now highly competitive domestically and internationally, support higher-level educations for masters and doctoral degrees.
